Packing Up Polly
November 5-22, 2026
By Leslie Kimbell
Directed by Hyla Crane
Polly Porter, famous 1970’s gospel singer of the group POLLY PORTER & THE PRAISE HIS NAME SINGERS, has gone on up to heaven. Her daughter, Caroline, has come home to Savannah, Georgia, to pack up Miss Polly’s house but there is just one little problem (or two or three): Miss Polly was an extreme hoarder of epic proportions, Caroline’s useless siblings are totally MIA, and her three best friends from high school, former co-cheerleaders, have all shown up…UNANNOUNCED! Lizzy now owns the Miss Georgia Belle Pageantry system, Donna Jo is the local community theatre diva, and Becca is having a late in life geriatric pregnancy with baby girl number five. The gospel music plays and the margaritas pour as the four ladies laugh, cry, scream, and COME TOGTHER to pack up Miss Polly’s house, heal old wounds, and make new plans for their future.

FLOAT
December 9-20, 2026
By Patricia Kane
Directed by Amy Saad
The industrious members of the Budapest Women’s Club (pronounced Bu-DAP-est) come together for an annual tradition: the crafting of the holiday parade float. But under the surface of this pleasant gathering, the women find themselves grappling with sexuality, betrayal, and their own hard and fast notions of right and wrong. In this ode to the complicated undercurrents of Midwestern morality, you’ll meet Marty, Luce, Char, Arletta, and Doodee — five women who face the tests life presents to them with laughter, love, and a lot of fake snow.

Death Trap
by Ira Levin
Directed by Paula Keenan
January 7-24, 2027
Seemingly comfortable in his charming Connecticut home, Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, is struggling to overcome a string of recent failures and a shortage of funds. When a student in his writing seminar sends him a new script – a thriller that Sidney recognizes immediately as a potential Broadway hit – Sidney sees an opportunity. With his wife’s help, he devises a plan to “collaborate” with the student, an idea which the younger man quickly accepts. Suspense mounts steadily as the plot begins to twist and turn with devilish cleverness that builds to a still-startling finale.
Deathtrap premiered on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre on February 26, 1978. Directed by Robert Moore, the production featured John Wood, Victor Garber, Marian Seldes, Marian Winters and Richard Woods. A 1982 film adaptation starred Michael Caine, Christopher Reeve and Dyan Cannon.

The Red Velvet Cake Wars

By Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten
Directed by Cheryl Duggan
In this riotously funny comedy, the three Verdeen cousins could not have picked a worse time to throw their family reunion, their outrageous antics delighting local gossips in the small town of Sweetgum.
Having “accidentally” crashed her minivan through the bedroom wall of her husband’s girlfriend’s doublewide, Gaynelle is one frazzled nerve away from a meltdown. Peaches is struggling to decide if it’s time to have her long-absent trucker husband declared dead and Jimmie Wyvette is resorting to extreme measures win the affections of Sweetgum’s newest widower. The cousins can’t back out of the reunion now, it’s on and Gaynelle’s hosting it. As this fast-paced romp barrels on, the audience will wish their own family reunions were this fun!

AN ALL BABY-BOOMER – NON MILLENIAL COMEDY SHOW!

Sandbag, Stage Left (Or, One Dead Dolly)
March 4-21, 2027
Directed by Marlene Strollo
The members of the Mill City Players are besides themselves over the mysterious death of their leading lady, Amelia Meddle, who during a performance, was cruelly squashed by a flying sandbag. All fingers point to her husband, undertaker Arnold Meddle, who was seen wandering around backstage just before the sailing sandbag hit pay dirt. It’s mud-slinging galore between Defense lawyer Philip Static and Prosecutor Emily Cling. Meanwhile, one by one the members of the Mill City players take the stand to implicate Arnold Meddle knowing about his jealous nature and Amelia’s flirtations with Mill City lead actor Byron Shelley. This, claims the Prosecution, provides Arnold with his motive. But Arnold contends he is innocent, but who could crush such a lovely woman under a pile of dirt and burlap? Mill City Stage Manager Gretel Van Cistern? Sexy actress Shelley Shelley? Arnold’s mousy Assistant Embalmer Margaret “Chuck” Bury? Or Medical Examiner Salvatore Soo, whom, we discover in a startling revelation, is related to the manufacturer of the deadly sandbag? It’s the case of the century, (or at least this past week), under the steady gavel of female Judge Royale Been, who presides over a jury of audience members, called for duty when the Judge dismisses the original jury for not inviting her to their party.
Author takes no responsibility for personal injury which may occur when audience members roll in the aisles with laughter.
Sandbag, Stage Left is a parody of serious courtroom dramas such as Witness for the Prosecution, Twelve Angry Men and Night of January 16th.

Ben Hur (an epic comedy)
April 1-18, 2027
Directed by Joan Gerberding
The story follows an amateur theatre troupe as they produce the massive tale of the fictional Jewish prince and merchant Judah Ben-Hur. He falls to galley slave and rises to champion charioteer within Jerusalem during the life of Jesus Christ, while the actors struggle along through the piece as rivalries form and offstage romances interfere. Complete with chariot race, sea battle, and stage combat, Patrick Barlow weaves his compressed style popularized by The 39 Steps into one of the largest stories ever told.
