Description
INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED and BEGINNERS .. WELCOME ALL..
It is a renewal to be in class with all levels of ability and understanding of the process..
The passion of the advanced transfers to the beginner, and both inspire and grow the process.
Goals of class:
* for individual student to gain greater understanding of the process (at their personal level)
* to learn the difference between blending and brush work, learn to make Brush Strokes
* to learn to mix color on the palette and on the canvas
(as we learn about value, color, edges, air, space)
* learn the differences of perspectives: linear, value, color,
* learn TO THINK LIKE AN ARTIST
* learn the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PAINTER AND AN ARTIST
“I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT COMMUNICATION WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL STUDENT”
.
Bio and Phyl-osophy “Passion to me is creating as well as teaching”.
I made my own way to being a professional working artist with a professional working studio known as My Yellow Sandbox Studio. I chose professional and successful artists to study with and practiced what they preached. Despite learning the essentials of fine art I developed my own recognizable style that contains my spirit. I still consider every painting a practice. My success is based on what I can do not by the pedigree of degrees. I did study at The Art Students League, NY; The Ridgewood Art Institute (the barn) NJ, School of Visual Arts, NY but life (and practice) is my greatest teacher. I am an eternal student who believes that there is no end to what I can learn. My work is in private and corporate collections universally.
I honor, paint and teach principles of fine art. My style of painting and my success is based on those principles. I teach these principles and watch with an acute eye for what is happening in my students work. I can change gears quickly and I know when to coddle, slow down or push a student’s work. I am able to let them develop their strong points and personal expression and style at their own speed just as I have.
My highest goal is to bring my paintings, and have my students bring their paintings to life, and to activate the viewers’ six senses. Concentration on the natural quality of light pouring onto our subject is the main objective of my theory and teaching.

Event Details
Hollywood Arms is a full-length comedic drama by Carrie Hamilton and Carol Burnett. A young daughter of ineffectual parents finds escape and solace in her own dreams of stardom in this warmhearted, coming-of-age play by comic legend Carol Burnett and her daughter, Carrie Hamilton. Based on the great comedian’s memoir One More Time, this revealing stage version is an entertaining, moving, and sometimes zany look into Carol Burnett‘s not-so Hollywood-land childhood.
Hollywood Arms chronicles the life of a woman named Helen in pre- and post-World War II Hollywood. This funny and moving story centers on three generations of women living on welfare in a one-room apartment at the Hollywood Arms, at the foot of the Hollywood hills. The piece contains a cavalcade of characters, including a tough, funny, yet tender pill-popping Christian Scientist grandmother who cares for the heroine, Helen, after the divorce of her parents; a beautiful wide-eyed and distant mother who is struggling to be a writer, only to drown her ambitions in a bottle; a loving but absent and alcoholic father who wants to be the daddy he never was; and a young girl Helen whose only escape is up on the roof of their rundown apartment house where she creates her own magical world at the foot of the Hollywood Hills. Finally, it’s a story about shattered hopes and realized dreams. Audiences will laugh and cry as they watch the story of the childhood that birthed Carol Burnett‘s incredible talent.
Friday Mar. 24, 2023 – House Opens: 7:00pm and Curtain at 7:30pm.

The Foreigner, by Larry Shue, is a fun, two-act comedy by American playwright Larry Shue. The story takes place in a fishing lodge in rural Tilghman County, Georgia where two Englishmen, Froggy and Charlie, arrive as guests. The shy Charlie agreed to accompany Froggy on the trip after his sick wife begged him to go. When people at the lodge try to talk to Charlie, however, he remains silent: he is terribly shy, depressed about his wife’s illness, and cannot find the words to reply. Froggy claims that Charlie cannot talk because he is a “foreigner” from an exotic country, and does not understand English. Taking the explanation that he’s a non-English speaker as fact, the lodge’s guests quickly begin revealing their secrets, and Charlie soon discovers scandals amongst some of the residents of the lodge.
