While Sonny was tearing the roof off clubs by night, he was attending Mercer County and Trenton State by day as a Fine Arts major, honing his artistic skills. “The more serious I got about playing guitar, the more I got into painting…to me it’s the same creative impulse as writing a song.” It seems like my whole life I’ve been hell bent creating something with my guitar or paintbrush. Sometimes music invades my art other times art invades my music. I never know where the inspiration will come from.
