OFFERINGS AT THE MARCO ISLAND CENTER FOR THE ARTS
With resourcefulness and dedication, this non-profit organization continues to grow. In 2004, a $1,500,000 expansion was done; the Art Center features several classrooms and studios, and includes three galleries, an art library, and a gift shop that is open and available to everyone.
The main focus of the Art League is to influence and educate through art. The League offers a variety of classes and special workshops in its Beth Rhodes Center for Art Education from October through May. The classes include all mediums of painting, clay and stone sculpture, pottery, wood carving, life drawing and other drawing classes, colored pencil, Chinese brush painting, stained glass and various craft workshops. In 2006, creative dramatics was added to the curriculum, now offering classes in drama for children and adults.
Children's program include a weekly art education program developed for Home School children, after school programs, Artist Visiting Kids Program and Young Artist Academy.
Scholarship and merit programs are also available for high school students grades 11 and 12. Seniors who have submitted outstanding artwork and have been accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning upon graduation are
eligible for scholarships.

The classes and workshops are open to the public. Members enjoy a discount on class fees.
Other than administrative & maintenance staff, the Art League facility and its programs are maintained by many dedicated volunteers and a volunteer Board
of Directors.
