Patrons of the Art League (PALs)
Wall Sponsorship Program Project Rescue

Today the Art League, Marco Island’s Center for the Arts, announced its new “Patrons of the Art League” program. “PALs” is the latest in the series of Project Rescue programs recently launched to pay down outstanding debt of the Art League and begin ensuring its future. Under PALs, the public has the opportunity to sponsor a wall in the prestigious Lauritzen/Rush Galleries. By participating in PALs, you will signal to others your support of the Art League at this critical time, as well as your commitment to arts in the community.

Wall sponsorships will last for a 21 month period beginning January 1, 2010, with wall prices varying from $500 to $2,500. This contribution to the Art League will be a tax deductible donation. PALs can be individuals, families, friends, businesses, associations, clubs, churches, and foundations. More than one individual or group can join together to sponsor a wall. It is not necessary to be an Art League member. Since location is everything, be sure to sign up soon to secure your favorite gallery wall – the one you deem to have the best exposure, lighting, and value.

Those individuals/groups who sponsor a gallery wall will be honored with a plaque on their chosen wall. Wording on the wall plaques will be determined by you, the PAL. Your wall can be known by your given name, nickname, grandchildren’s names, pet names; or your favorite sports team, college, or slogan. As a PAL, once you sponsor it, you get to choose the name of your wall. PALs will also be publicly honored in publicity for exhibits hung on their special wall and during Art League receptions and special events. In addition PALs will enjoy free admission to the organizations 1st Tuesday Art @ Five Socials.

For more information, contact Carole Roberts, chair of the PALs Committee, at 239/394-1910. Roberts will be available to discuss the PALs program on Tuesday, November 3, at the Art League’s “1st Tuesday Art @ Five Social”, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, at the Art League, Marco Island's Center for the Arts (1010 Winterberry Drive, Marco Island).
