MOVEMENT! COLOR!

Color flowing is a dance reaching out illuminating, enlivening the canvas. I teach movement classes to empower those around me so that they may discover new qualities about themselves and each other. Using various mediums I create unique compositions as interesting as the world around me. All mediums have an enticing and appealing influence on me. Oil moves seductively about the canvas. Acrylics demanding to dry now! Watercolors, stubborn at times, yet yield if you quench their thirst. Each work has its own personality like my treasured friends and family.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois but have been on Marco Island, Florida permanently for the last 17 years, but have been coming for over 40 years. Painting and drawing has always been part of her life. Being an only child, crayons became the friends. A pad and pencil always in tow. These would keep mind and fingers busy when parents went out to socialize. They actually let her paint flowers on one of their cars. Hey it was the 70’s.

Betty has been in the juried Founder’s Exhibit at the von Liebig for the last three years. Her paintings draw the viewer into them with explosive color and texture.
