For Frank de la Roche, touch is of great importance. He finds in sculpting the pleasure of contact and his greatest wish is that all who come into contact with his works or art experience this great feeling. In his early career he was a painter, but one day sculpting drew him in. Born in Trois Rivieres, Quebec, Canada, he received his degree from the Universite de Montreal. He studied sculpture under the tutelage of Charlotte LaPointe at her private school and museum in Deux Montagnes, Quebec. He teaches stone sculpture at Bonita Springs Art Center as well as the Art League of Marco Island. A full time sculptor, he is represented by numerous galleries in both Canada and the US.
